How to disable the CHKDSK at Start up for Windows

You may experience this problem when every time you start your computer or restart your computer, it prompt to a screen saying Checking file system on C: (as shown in screen below).

To disable this Chkdsk on every time start up your computer, please follow the steps as below:


1. Go to Start, All Programs, Accessories, Command Prompt. Right click on Command Prompt and Select Run as administrator.



2. It will show this screen once you select Yes.


3. Type in chkntfs /x c: and press Enter.


4. It will show “The type of the file system is NTFS.” 

5. You may try restart your computer now, Check Disk is disabled from start up.
